Republicans: They Hate Humanity
Looking at the recent story on how certain families will not be receiving a purported $400 check in addition to any other refund they might be receiving, I noticed this:
House Republicans, who acknowledged the gap on the child credit, blamed the Senate for insisting on its $350 billion cap, saying the low-income families could have been covered had the Senate been more flexible.
What's being said here, in plain terms, is that, given a choice between cutting refunds to those who don't need it and cutting refunds to those who desperately need it, the Republicans chose to screw over those who desperately need it.
